Tauwhare Military Museum Living History Weekend

Come and learn about the history of military conflict from the days of the Vikings through to the modern day. Learn what trench life was like in WW2. Living displays by Vikings, Romans, Boer war, Russians, Germans, US, Kiwi and British forces fully equipped and ready for combat. Military vehicles of all sorts will be on display and some will even be giving rides.

An air display by a replica WW2 German Storch will be in the sky above. Entry to the museum is included in the $10 per head gate fee. Children under 10 free. Coffee and refreshments are available onsite by “Barbarista coffee & food trailer”. Also a good old fashion sausage sizzle will be operating.
