Te Kāhui Maunga invites you to attend its premier event of 2020 where you will be exposed to the unique kapa haka style of Ngā Kāhui Maunga - Taranaki, Ruapehu and Tongariro.
Your hosts for 2020 Patea Māori Cultural Theatre Trust and Aotea Ūtanganui look forward to your attendance and promise you that you will not be disappointed by the calibre of Kapa available for your pleasure in our region.
All the teams participating will be vying for the opportunity to represent our region at Te Matatini 2021, Auckland.
This is an affordable not to be missed event for all ages. Make a day of it come visit us, enjoy our hospitality and our kapa haka. You have an opportunity to experience our unique style, hear our stories in waiata, appreciate the drama and theatrical nature of the performances. Watch your favourite performer in action. Find a new favourite. Meet new people. Make the most of the hospitality available in Hawera. Visit our pools explore our shops, dine in our food outlets, jog on our walkway and many many other things.
