About the Day Course:
Why do we become irritated, impatient and unhappy? Principally, because we do not get what we want. Every day we encounter hundreds of problems we do not want and we respond with feelings of unhappiness

On this course our Resident Teacher, Kelsang Luma will teach Buddhist techniques to help us respond to difficulties with a positive, peaceful mind. In this way we will be able to accept painful feelings, overcome minds such as anger and frustration, and discover true inner peace. We will discover why difficult people and situations have no real power to cause us problems, and how they can even help us improve our own good qualities.

The Teacher
Kelsang Luma is a Buddhist nun and the Resident Teacher of Kalpa Bhadra Buddhist Centre in Christchurch and is Geshe-las representative in the South Island. She has been ordained under Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for 15 years and has dedicated her life to studying and practicing his instructions and helping people solve their problems through Buddha’s timeless instructions.

Luma gives clear and practical teachings, sharing her deep understanding of the Buddhist path. Through her teachings and example she shows us how we can easily integrate Buddha’s wisdom into our modern lives.
