The Drawing Room Presents: We Are Haunted

The Drawing Room is an all-inclusive approach to Life Drawing, that focuses on story-telling, characterisation, humour, and music. Absolutely no skills needed to enjoy participating in this theatrical drawing event. We bring strange and wonderful models for your inspiration.

We are fortunate to be invited to host our events at Fitzroy Lounge Bar in Ponsonby. These will occur on the first Tuesday of each Month.

Entry is Free. Bring Koha / Donation for the model. Bring paper and crayons. Bring a friend.

Event Description:
Throughout history and across every culture people have told stories about monsters. These stories aim to help us understand and come to terms with the dangers that exist around us.

Do we dare reflect upon the haunted world that surrounds us, asking the shadows
Could it be that the monsters exist only because we also exist? Could it be that the world is haunted by us?

The answer is too familiar. As our eyes strain to perceive the shifting shapes that swim in the dark and shivering gloom, are met with the unmistakable reflection of ourselves.
