The Girl On The Bridge is the story of a young woman with the weight of a generation on her shoulders.
Having survived her own suicidal struggles, Jazz Thornton is a mental health activist, fighting to change how society and the system are dealing with young people like her.
Ultimately this is a film about hope. It’s a film about redemption. And, most important, it’s a challenge to all of us to try to understand.
This screening of The Girl On The Bridge can help to remove the stigma and to break the silence that surrounds the suicide crisis. Organisations such as New Zealand’s Suicide Prevention Office and the World Health Organisation advocate for more community discussion around this vital issue.
We invite you to a special screening of this powerful documentary film at Rialto Cinemas, Devonport Road, Tauranga on Thursday 12th November at 7:00pm with movie starting at 7:30pm
This screening is an opportunity for us to come together to discuss the role that each and every one of us can play in combating our society’s suicide crisis.
