Musical Theatre Dunedin, Taieri Musical and DKCM are renown for independently producing world class live entertainment in Dunedin.
Now, in an exciting first, they have joined forces to proudly present THE HIGHLIGHTS – Celebrating a Decade of Musicals.
Collectively they are responsible for the thriving Dunedin musical theatre scene having staged spectacular productions of WICKED, The Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Mary Poppins, Grease: The Arena Spectacular Live, Miss Saigon, The Sound of Music, Les Miserables, Oliver, Spamalot, Jesus Christ Superstar, Blood Brothers and many more to sell-out audiences for over 10 years!
From 14 October 2020, in a strictly limited season at the Regent Theatre, Dunedin - principal artists from the original Dunedin productions will return to the stage to reprise their performances in an epic concert performance supported by an ensemble of 130 local performers, full 15-piece orchestra, stunning backdrop and reimagined staging!
Relive your favourite musicals and stage moments or see them for the very first time as we recapture the glittering standout moments from over 20 blockbuster musicals that have been staged in Dunedin since 2010.
Lead by the award-winning creative team of Doug Kamo (Director), Michael Grant (Musical Director) and Emma Holloway (Choreographer) and Beth Waite (Vocal Director) this is a theatrical highlight not to be missed!
