The Octagon Experience

From 27 January, the Octagon will be transformed into a pedestrian-only public space (with some shared access). The trial will see the Octagon become the ‘hub’ for the Otago Community Trust New Zealand Masters Games (1 – 9 February) and it will be a focal point for pre-concert and post-concert activities and performances, the annual Thieves Alley and the Otago and Southland Pipe Band contests.

Until 23 March varying scales of the pedestrian trials will be undertaken to provide a vibrant, family-friendly space filled with temporary street furniture, surface treatments, plants and accent lighting. We hope you take the time to explore and enjoy this unique time with friends and family.
