The Present Continuous: Poetry Reading

Beyond frustrated by the binary fix of the election cycle? Stuck in a ground-hog day of colonial stuff that never seems to end? Come spend your lunchtime with us commiserating, and celebrating, resistance in its many poetic forms. This event was originally conceived to stand in solidarity with #blacklivesmatter. Post lock-down, we’re feeling the need to hone in on the truths that are hidden among us, often in plain sight. Our line-up includes emerging and established local and international poets Anahera Gildea, Laniyuk, Areez Katki, Henrietta Bollinger, Aziembry Aolani, Michaela Keeble, Dallas Karangaroa and some surprise manuhiri.
