The Wellington Mingus Ensemble is back! Revamped, revitalised and better than ever, this heavy-hitting big band of top Wellington musicians plays the music of its namesake Charles Mingus, one of the most revered names in Black American Music, Blues and political art. Ragingly charismatic melodies meet dense impressionistic orchestration and deep blues language in some of the most stunning compositions of the last century - don't miss out!
