Traditional Dances of México

This event has been created with the purpose of preserving and sharing culture through dances and music.

Dance as a dynamic cultural expression has been an integral part of pre - Columbian religion. With the superimposition of European and African dances\music upon existing traditional dances in the Americas, new dance forms resulted in a fusion of beliefs and practices.

Traditional dances of México are known as folklore; which also denotes a collective cultural knowledge not only of dance; but also music, crafts, literature, and linguistic characteristics, to name a few.

These are the things that bind us together as a cohesive social group and we are happy to share this space with everyone interested.
