A collection of conversations with parenting artists in the movement and performance community.
What supports us as parents in this industry? What are the surprising, challenging, inspiring parts of our practices as movement and performance makers, how do they intersect and converse with our roles as parents?
Transformational Bodies is a short film of conversations, with and between people, parents, practices, reflections on the journeys we make in these challenging roles. The voices here are but a small sample of those who are doing the hard mahi without pay, with little recognition, and often without a community that understands how to support them.
These are all our stories, so let them be heard.
This work consists of a video that will play in Venue 1 from the 7-10 Oct. There will then be a live-streamed forum on the 15 Oct through Facebook.
Thank you to the participants, our families and the wider creative communities that feed us and support us to be who we are, and keep practising in the way that we need to be.
