Due to community demand and feedback on the successful 2019 Tuia Mātauranga Roadshow, Te Au Mārie Trust in partnership with the Ministry of Education is investing in its return for our communities and schools.

Tuia Mātauranga is an interactive programme that supports teaching and learning, highlighting local people, places, and events that help shape our nation's histories.

The programme aims to inspire children and young people to explore their own stories of who they are and where they come from, developing a more in-depth knowledge of their whakapapa and identity whilst also allowing visitors to understand, acknowledge and appreciate the people and places that they visit.

The Roadshow will commence in October 2020 and concludes in December 2020.

We invite children, whānau and communities to come and take part in a shared learning experience of fun and engaging activities which include activity books, the mobile app supported activities, conversation cards, and a virtual-reality experience.
