Dedicated to Tony Haas – Ofa Atu mei loto Ha’apai
A talanoa of a snippet of the Afeaki family history, accounts by my father and grandfather. A crossing of paths — a boy from Ha’apai, Tonga and a boy from Pahiatua. The origins of this project and getting our talanoa into Alexander Turnbull Library.

About the speaker
Sarah Finau (nee Afeaki) — born in Wellington and raised in Tonga — a proud daughter from a long line of Tongan Matapule and orators. (also tracing turangawaewae across the globe to Northern Ireland and England as well as to Nuhaka — Ngati Kahungunu ki te Wairoa)
