Lily Harper presents Up Down Girl, a funny and heartwarming show about a young woman growing up with Down’s syndrome, and the mother who raised her.

In this new, local adaptation, based on ‘Up Down Boy’ by Sue Shields, Lily draws on her own life experiences to tell the tale of 19 year old Mattie Butler as she prepares to leave for college. Mum won’t miss the blearing music and slamming doors, but Mattie is not an ordinary teenager, and will she be able to cope without her?

Theatre is for everyone!

There will be a relaxed performance at 6.30pm on Friday 28 February for those who will benefit from a more relaxed performance environment, including people with an Autism Spectrum Condition, sensory and communication disorders or a learning difficulty.

There will be a fully accessible performance with audio description and sign interpretation at 4pm on Sunday 1 March.

Up Down Girl runs for one hour.
