This year Te Kaunihera o Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland Council is teaming up with the Manukau Urban Māori Authority to bring an awesome line up of music to the stage, including Three Houses Down & General Fiyah, Aaradhna, 1814, Sammy J, La Coco & more!
Visit the Village for a taste of Māori and Pacific kai, including live hāngi demonstrations. There are plenty of free, fun activities and a chance to strengthen your te reo Māori with free introductory te reo lessons. Learn about the significance of the Treaty of Waitangi in Manukau and hear about the impact of the document on our everyday lives.
Come along to Hayman Park this Waitangi Day for a fantastic family day out. Enjoy culture, music, te reo Māori, kōrero and kai as we commemorate 180 years since the first signing of the Treaty of Waitangi in 1840.
Supported by Manukau Urban Māori Authority, Manukau Institute of Technology, Ministry for Culture and Heritage, Te Puni Kōkiri, Waikato-Tainui and FLAVA, Waitangi ki Manukau is part of Music in Parks.
