Postponed.

Kia ora koutou,

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Whanganui Walls and Whanganui Walls of Sound will not be going ahead this weekend, due to the fast-moving situation with the Covid-19 virus.

The government's advice is that events over 500 people should not go ahead. We're grateful for, and respectful of this advice for the health of our community. On the visual side, we have lost a large part of our artist line up who couldn't come from overseas in time to self-isolate. We have decided that going ahead in this situation would not be true to our artistic goals.

Our goal will be to put on this event at a similar time next year, and make it a chance to celebrate, once we're all through this tough time.

Until we know more, keep safe out there.

Much love
The Whanganui Walls team.

Whanganui Walls street art festival is back, with yet another incredible line up of world-renowned street artists from NZ and around the globe.

Come and weave through the beautiful streets of central Whanganui and watch as these 8 highly talented artists transform 8 walls into amazing pieces of art.

You will also find some of Whanganui's talented students painting during the weekend of the festival as a part of our Youth Art Programme so come and say hi and show your support.

Also... mark your calendar for Saturday 21st March, where we will not only entertain your eyes but also your ears, with live bands to take you through the day and into the night, at Majestic Square.

Please note: This mini music festival will be restricted to 18+ from 9pm.
Don't forget your dancing shoes.

A free event guide showing details of everything you'll need to know, including the artist locations and music line up, will be available during the festival, from the Whanganui I-SITE and Sarjeant Gallery.

Our artist and music line up will be released here soon but for your visual pleasure, head over to our Facebook and/or Instagram page @whanganuiwalls and see what all the fuss is about.
