Tuia means to stitch. Book your tamariki into this free workshop where they will use thread children to create a small artwork using stitches that explore Māori design including those from marae tukutuku panels.

This workshop is brought to you by Aoraki Matatū artists Lisa Harding and Corabelle Summerton from Kahu Collective and is part of The Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora's 2020 Matariki programme.

If you don't know where the Maker Workshop is, please come to Rutherford's Den, 2 Worcester Boulevard, on the day 5 minutes before the session starts and we will show you the way!

Recommended for children 8+ years. Parents are welcome to book a place to work alongside their tamariki. Limited places available (online ticketing). Some spaces may also available on the day.
