2021 Korean Film Festival - Juror 8

2021 Korean Film Festival returns this year with an exceptional opportunity to enjoy seven well-selected Korean films to Wellington on 3-4 December at the Embassy Theatre.
Organised by the Korean Embassy in Wellington, the Korean Foundation Organization and the Korean Cinerama Trust, the Korean Film Festival is an annual event that promotes cultural exchanges between Korea and New Zealand. This year’s festival brings together some of the most popular and ground-breaking films.

- On the day of the 1st Citizen Participation Trial, all media’s attention is focused on this very first jury trial in Korea’s juridical history. Randomly selected 8 citizens are called up to rule a matricide case which is almost determined with conclusive evidence. While the judge waits for the 8 juries’ unanimous vote for “Guilty” to determine the conviction, these way-too-passionate juries start to overturn the case raising questions that had never been asked in the court…
