Acrylic Realism: CANCELLED

Learn drawing skills to develop a foundation toward realistic painting in acrylics. Work on your own projects in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with an experienced tutor. All levels welcome. This is a 9-week class. To Annette, painting is about the use of light regardless of the subject matter. In her oil paintings she applies the dark colours first and works towards the lighter tones, this creates contrast and perspective. She is intrigued by the way a flower is illuminated when backlit by the sun, or how any subject can be transformed by the light. She is aware that colour creates the mood and evokes an emotional response in the viewer.
