Agritech Robotics & Automation with OMRON

We are excited to have keynote speaker David Downs join us as part of the OMRON exhibition at the Careers Expo.

David leads the NZ Governments Agritech taskforce, helping to design and implement the Industry Transformation Plan for the Agritech sector, working for MBIE.

David will take us on a journey of what the future of Agritech in New Zealand might look like.

David is a General Manager and successful businessman. In previous lives he’s also been a comedian, author, TV and radio actor, and is now also a genetically modified organism who documented his battle with cancer.

David regularly presents and gives talks on his cancer journey and on the power of positive thinking and optimism, and now helps raise awareness and funds for cancer research in New Zealand.

OMRON Electronics is one of the worlds leading suppliers of robotics hardware and software. They will have a display of working robotic arms and autonomous mobile robots to demonstrate applications for industry with Hawkes Bay's manufacturers and Agritech users. In addition Omron has collaborated with EIT in their development of Robotics Lab on the EIT Taradale Campus.

There is also the opportunity to come and talk with OMRON at the EIT stand at the Hawke’s Bay Careers Expo.
