Akarana Marine Sports Race Lounge

Watch the Prada Cup Round Robin and Semi Final from the stunning upper level of the Hyundai Marine Sports Centre, with 180 degree views of the Waitemata Harbour and over looking the inner harbour courses, it’s arguably one of the best locations in Auckland to watch these incredible teams battle it out.

The lounge will offer complimentary beverage on arrival, al le cart menu, live racing on the big screens and much more.

All proceeds from the tickets go directly to Akarana Marine Sports Charitable Trust whose purpose is to create safe and accessible pathways to the sea, for both the local Orakei and wider Auckland community.

Some of the Trusts initiatives include delivering the New Navigators Programme, operating the Hyundai Marine Sports Centre for marine based sports clubs, communities and assisting in the restoration of the Mauri of Okahu Bay.

Some of the Centre’s user groups include the Royal Akarana Yacht Club, Akarana Sailing Academy, Akarana Ocean Paddlers, Waka Ama New Zealand, The University of Auckland Marine Sports Clubs (Canoe, Sailing, Underwater, Kitesurf and Waka Ama Club), Auckland Sailing Club, Ocean Blue Sports Club and Sailability Auckland.
