An Evening with The Black Quartet

VillageMusic is especially pleased to begin our 2021 Soirée Season, with such a fine group of musicians as The Black Quartet. Eclectic and diverse, the Black Quartet draw on their love and experience of a vast sea of musical influences from folk, blues, rock, roots, jazz and pop to create their own signature take on this classic ensemble. The Black Quartet perform, compose, improvise, and arrange tracks in a fresh, modern and virtuosic style. The quartet has featured in the WOMAD, Auckland Arts and Auckland Folk Festivals, and collaborated with international and NZ-based artists. The members are Jessica Hindin and Mahuia Bridgman-Cooper, violins; Joseph Harrop, viola; Rachel Wells, cello and vocals. This evening promises to be quite memorable and not to be missed.
