The Undiscovered Musicals of Jane Austen with Penny Ashton, Lori Dungey and Jason Smith

“Jane Austen would be turning in her grave with delight… rollicking good fun!” - Rip It Up Adelaide

PLEASE NOTE: Due to current Alert Level 2 restrictions on indoor event capacity limits, this event is strictly limited to 100 people - please get in quickly to secure your ticket! A full refund will be applied if the event is unable to proceed due to alert level restrictions.

Addicted to Darcy? Bonkers for Big Balls? Lost all Sense and Sensibility? Well put down your cross-stitching and get ready to enjoy an entirely improvised musical in the style of Jane Austen. You saw their videos during the COVID lockdown, now see them in person.

Arts on Tour favourite Penny Ashton (Olive Copperbottom, Promise and Promiscuity, Hot Pink Bits) is back, with her most excellently accomplished friends! World Famous hobbit, Lori Dungey (Lord of the Rings, Xena) and twinkle fingers, Jason Smith (Emmy Award-winning musical maestro and Lucy Lawless collaborator) will use your suggestions and spin instant literary magic as they swoon, romp and pianoforte. Charming suitors, meddlesome mothers, tight breeches and surprisingly well-educated girls will all paint a vivid picture in song, dance and passionate hand-holding.

“Full of fun and frivolity” - NZ Herald

“Austen Found: The Undiscovered Musicals of Jane Austen is the good pavlova, the one someone has taken a few goes to get just right. The brilliant version.” - Waikato Times
