Kiwi-Canadian Katherine Palmer Gordon is an award-winning magazine writer and author of literary non-fiction, including biography, history, and portraits of Indigenous individuals, communities and the impacts of colonization in Canada. Her last book, We Are Born With the Songs Inside Us, features young First Nations men and women talking about their lives in British Columbia.

Currently residing in Motueka, Katherine is at work on her eighth book, This Place is Who We Are, on the interconnection of place, people and wellbeing, told through the voices of a wide range of Indigenous individuals living and working in the Great Bear Rainforest and Xaayda Gwaay in northern BC, Canada.

Join Katherine for a discussion about her work, and writing stories like these.

Katherine’s talk will be followed by a meeting of the Richmond Writing Group. Both events are free and everyone is welcome.

These events will only take place if we are at Level 1.
