Bachata is a smooth and sexy partner dance originating from the Caribbean region, more specifically, the Dominican Republic with borrowings from the Cuban Bolero.

Today Bachata has undertaken dramatic changes from the very traditional sound of its creation to where it has merged with more contemporary styles like Jazz, R&B and Hip Hop as well as other Latin and Brazilian rhythms.

It's more apparent fusion has been with R&B - Hip Hop, producing many great influential musicians and singers such as Aventura, Romeo Santos, Toby Love, Prince Royce, Optimo & Xtreme to name a few and now also remixes of the top radio hits. You will be amazed how easy and enjoyable it is to pick up!

This course is Bachata "Sensual" Level 2.
After having been briefly introduced to Bachata "Sensual" in L1, we now go deeper into the "Sensual" style and start exploring all the fundamentals for this particular style. The Bachata "Sensual" style was created in Spain by Korke & Judith and it is an incredibly popular style of bachata that has been adapted all over the world!

New Zealand dancers have embraced Bachata Sensual with open arms. The characteristics of Bachata Sensual are body waves and rotational hips. We will use all the concepts, elements and fundamentals taught in Bachata L1 and add the "Sensual" style on top.

Pre-requisite: Full understanding of all concepts and fundamentals from Bachata L1.

Join us for Sensual Bachata dancing!
