Revisit some old friends this Techweek’21 at the National Library - cast your eyes over a selection of our rare vintage computers which are still used today for reading and transferring early ‘born digital’ material.
Get up close and personal with a vintage computer collection
Do you remember the supreme usability of the square mouse, the clean beige lines of the Apple Classic II, and what about the extreme versatility of the SuperDrive Floppy?
The ‘Backspace: Vintage computers…’ is a week-long pop-up exhibition, an opportunity to view and learn about legacy computers from the 1980s to early 2000s.
The pop-up will allow greater visual access to these technological relics which otherwise are kept in storage away from the spotlight.
