Big Talks is all about how we can be better at talking with one another about important issues. It’s a free Auckland event run for young people, by young people.
There are a ton of ‘big issues’ that affect young people. Some are boring, some are super complex, and some are so personal that talking about them is hard. But they’re almost always things that we have to collectively make hard decisions about.
We should be a part of the dialogue, so let’s talk to each other about stuff.
From now until 13 May we’re asking anyone who’s listening: What do you wish we talked about with each other more?
On 13 May we’re running a workshop that teaches the skills of bringing your own perspectives and listening to others in conversation about big issues. We’ll bring some of the topics that you tell us you care about, and you can contribute as well by visiting me-qr.com/168247
Follow the link to tell us what you wish we talked about more, and to register for the Big Talks workshop at 6.30 pm on 13 May at Ellen Melville Centre.
