Cantorum - Light: POSTPONED

In our next concert Cantorum will sing again two of the pieces we commissioned for recent Christmas concerts, as well as the movements missed out from Missa ‘O Magnum Mysterium’ in last Christmas’ concert.

Therefore we are coining this “not a Christmas concert”. Officially though we are calling this “Light” with reference to Light being in the title of at least one piece. We will include among other things some works by William Harris who specialises in uplifting turns of harmony, and some accompanied pieces by Haydn and Handel which have the flavour of oratorio singing.

Our organist will also play a couple of solos for you.

We hope, very much, to see you on September 18 at the early time of 4pm, at All Saints, Ponsonby for “Not a Christmas concert”... exactly 3 months before our real Christmas concert.
