Choice, aka Musicbychoice, are celebrating the launch of their new album "Amongst the Tall Trees". They will be performing the album in the wonderful workshop space at Sherwood Queenstown. Joining them, with her exceptional lyrical ecstatic dance and divine vocals on track 3 of the release, will be the magnificent Marie Dorin.
"Amongst the Tall Trees" fuses folk roots with eclectic rhythms ranging from d'n'b to dub to ambient trip-hop using a combo of acoustic instruments and electronic sounds.
The music has both Celtic and Classical influences with electronic bass heavy subs, live looping of violin, vocals and guitar and high energy live drumming. The orchestral loops and beat-driven layers create a hypnotic, intense and atmospheric sound topped off with thought-provoking lyrics and melodic vocals.
