On Friday Night Live in May Grafia and friends will be performing originals and kiwi classics old and new as a celebration of local and Kiwi music in May Music Month.

With the help of musical friends starting with Stephan and Nicki Schultz playing light jazz instrumental classics on violin and bass guitar, Meg Hunter on keyboards singing her own compositions, Jonas and Catherine Koukl playing and singing Czech and New Zealand folk songs and Stefan Brown with his bass playing mate Gail O'Callaghan bringing us his original songs and more kiwi classics and to cap it off a special guest appearance by the King Street Artworks Monday night Choir.

Based in the Wairarapa Grafia put on and contribute to shows wherever they can, or are invited. Their creative influences stretch across several musical styles and songwriters including: John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Robert Hunter (Grateful Dead), Eric Clapton, J.J Cale, Van Morrison, Mark Knopfler, Alan Taylor, Johnny Cash, Christy Moore and Jimmy McCarthy to name a few.

Grafia also playing on Sat May 29th at Wairarapa’s Solway Farmer's Market from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm. And soon to be contributing to the revived monthly Live Music at The Gladstone Inn starting on the last Thursday, 27th of May.

New opportunities to perform are welcomed by the band and our friends.
