Tasman District Council is running four community information events about a new project to reimagine Richmond South as a place where more people can live, work, and spend time.

Drop in any time during a session to find out more about the Reimagining Richmond South project that aims to help meet growing housing demand in Richmond by providing for around 2,000 new homes.

The potential development area is from the current southern boundary of Richmond, southwards to between White Road and Ranzau Road, and into the foothills of the Barnicoat Range.

Before any detailed structure planning work begins, we want community feedback on how Richmond should grow and any aspirations for the Richmond South area. The structure plan we create with your input will guide how Richmond South should develop, covering things like housing design and density, business areas, how people will get around, where’s best for reserves and spaces for people to come together, and how we look after the environment and heritage.

At this event, you can talk with the team about the future of Richmond South and share your views.

All are welcome - Hope Hall is child and access friendly.

Please note, this event will adhere to COVID-19 restrictions. Under Alert Level 2, please wear a mask, scan in or sign in at the door, and keep your distance from others.
