Our workforces are now made up of five generations, with more older workers staying on longer. Demographic and labour market changes will increasingly require organisations to focus on retention and to adapt to the needs of a multi-generational workforce.
This four-hour workshop will introduce you to contemporary thinking in respect to age and work, give you skills for working with an age-diverse workforce and provide strategies for creating an age-inclusive multi-generational workplace.
At the end of this workshop participants will have:
An awareness of the facts, myths and realities of age and ageing in the workplace
An understanding of how ageism works, its impact and the strategies required to ensure an age-inclusive organisation
Alternative ways to think about age and ageing
Awareness of the better-practice strategies required to build age-inclusive teams and workplaces
