Athe start of 2020, Jenni Reika offered the good people of Wellington an opportunity to take part in a community body art project in aid of the environment.

And you - good people of Wellington - stripped off your shirts and stepped up for the cause!

Navigating lockdowns, level changes and continual uncertainty, 37 Wellingtonians worked with Jenni throughout 2020, sharing the environmental issues that matter most to them.
From their passionate, inspiring words, Jenni designed a unique piece of artwork to represent their chosen topic, and painted it directly on to each participant's back.

The result is 'Don't Turn Your Back On Our Planet' - a captivating and visually striking exhibition showcasing environmental advocacy through the medium of body art - led by the people of our community.
Each of the 37 back paintings is accompanied by a quote from each participant.

This exhibition runs from 6pm October 2nd (opening night) to Halloween 31st October at The Petone Depot, Jackson Street, Petone.
