Eventfinda tickets no longer on sale
Everybody loves Vivaldi’s 'Four Seasons' violin concertos - musical pictures of Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. In this unusual chamber concert from Bay of Plenty Symphonia, Vivaldi’s seasons are interspersed with the jazzy, tango-inspired 'Four Seasons of Buenos Aires' by the Argentine Astor Piazzolla - a concert of fascinating contrasts with a common theme. The performance features guest soloists Andrew Beer (violin) and Ashley Brown (cello), with Chalium Poppy on harpsichord and string players from Bay of Plenty Symphonia.
Andrew Beer and Ashley Brown are among New Zealand's top soloists, having performed extensively in this country and overseas. Andrew is well known as Concertmaster of the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra while Ashley is frequently on tour as a founder member of the popular NZTrio.
Tickets can be pre booked from 11th January, here or from i-site, Fenton Street, Rotorua (agency fee applies). Door sales available (cash only).
The concert will also be performed in Tauranga's Holy Trinity Church at 7.30 pm on 13th February.
