The Incubator

Kalena will take her students for a ramble to explore around the beautiful Historic Village gardens. Filling their baskets, the students will be collecting wonderful native flora and fauna to take to the Artery where the students will create something wonderful to take home.

Students will learn how to harvest safely and have fun finding just the right items to make amazing creations.

Working with nature can be healing. Sparking the imagination and creating a wonderful sense of belonging with a place in their world. Using the natural world whilst understanding the principles of recycling.

Tutor: Kalena Egan

Kalena Egan is a well-known and popular Florist and a resident artist with a Studio in Okorore Ngā Toi Māori. You can find her Facebook page and Instagram account under Putiputi Recycled.
