In many cultures mushrooms are a symbol of luck. To find a mushroom means that good luck is at hand.
“Shrooms” by Amigo & Amigo is an immersive artwork display of 10 giant inflatable mushroom shapes sprouting within the urban Sylvia Park environment.
The work was inspired when artist Simone noticed mushrooms had popped up in the streets of the industrial area where she lives and their ability to emerge in unexpected places for only a couple of days, like a little gift of nature in the urban environment.
With their bold contrasting colours, 'Shrooms' is a colourful spectacle during the day and an illuminated beauty at night.
