Girls with Cameras encourages younger women to grow their photographic passion and expertise – young women at secondary school-aged 13-17.

Want to spend the day out having fun with your camera then this day is just that – it is a day full of architectural & cityscape photography, combined with exploring the art of reflections and leading lines:

- Exploring the historical architecture of University of Auckland, Parnell train station and other historical buildings around Auckland’s city
- Leading lines in Auckland’s city streets
- Reflections – how to capture creative imagery

A basic understanding of your camera’s use is required and everything you need to capture these images is provided; just bring:

- Your camera, fully charged batteries – 2 is really recommended
- Memory card – make sure there is lots of spare space or bring a 2nd card
- Tripod
- Camera backpack – being out all day, you will want something easy to carry your camera gear in
- AT Hop card for travelling to Auckland University and returning to Newmarket.

NOTE:

- This is a day of walking, therefore suitable flat footwear is required
- This field trip will operate regardless of weather with an alternative undercover route around Auckland provided
- A selection of milo, tea and coffee is available before & after workshop
- Lunch and a drink is included – we will be stopping for pizza
- Drop off from 8.00am – workshop starts 8.45am departing for Broadway to catch bus
-Pickup before 5.00pm – returning via train to Newmarket where workshop finishes 4.30pm

Cost – includes lunch.
Maximum number of attendees – 10.
