Glow Ride

Join us for a night ride with all the bells and whistles.

This is a Hamilton Kirikiriroa Innovating Streets event, supported by Hamilton City Council/Waka Kotahi.

Deck out your bike and yourself in all of the things ( safely). Lights, fluro paint, high vis, glow sticks, the whole shebang.

Never done a Glow ride or Bike Rave? Well, it's pretty easy. Just bedazzle your bike and yourself with all manner of lights and/or Fluro paint and then ride. Use Glow sticks, multiple bike lights, fairy lights etc.

We will all meet up at Steel Park to gawk at our mighty creations before we embark on a colourful and light-filled ride throughout the Hamilton CBD before we reach Rostrevor street for a Street Party. There will be sounds, food and good old party atmosphere where you can chill or boogie before boodling your way back home.

The ride will be family-friendly and will not be a race. It'll be a nice amble so will suit all ages and abilities and we will have a lead bike and tail end charlie.

We encourage you to go hard, use your imagination and we will post up suggestions to help you on your decorating way. Also, bike decoration must be safe so utilise those cable ties and duct tape to make sure everything is secure and if you have some tunes then by all means let them play!
