Due to the recent Covid-19 event the HAKO exhibition has been re-scheduled to 1 - 5 March 2021

Imagine walking through the Hub at Te Herenga Waka/Victoria University Wellington and you encounter a never-before-seen creature with brightly coloured feathers and a big beak. Its eyes hypnotically blink at you. As you walk around the creature, it suddenly changes into a bright red lava flow, spewing and splattering, trying desperately to escape the confines of its enclosure. You can almost feel the heat around you. The lava flow changes into a woman in white dancing in the bush, at the ocean, in the desert. Faster and faster the images change as the music goes faster and faster, and you feel your heart pound as the speed increases. You wonder what it will turn into next.

This is HAKO, a dynamic and playful experience of sight and sound. Come to Victoria University and be captivated by HAKO, a global projection art festival. Come and experience the imaginings of world-class artists from the US, Spain, Brazil, Trinidad, United Arab Emirates and many more to be confirmed.
