Drawing directly from the lush native and exotic foliage at Puketarata Garden, this workshop will offer festival visitors an introduction to the timeless beauty of botanical art.

Tabatha holds a Doctorate in Fine Arts and has been teaching botanical art for nearly two decades. Her art practice includes painting, photography, installation and writing.

Currently living in Ōaonui, South Taranaki, Tabatha runs Forbes & Flay studio gallery in Ōpunake showcasing her and her sculptor husband’s work as well as hosting botanical and nature journaling workshops on site.

The workshop fee includes all materials needed in class, morning and afternoon tea, and will coincide with a special guided walk/talk through the historic landscape of Puketarata hosted by Ken Horner.
