Ish and the Wellington Sea Shanty Society will hit the Pipe Band Hall in Newtown with tunes gathered from far and wide across many oceans and lands. Come warm your bones on the dance floor!

For the first time in Wellington, Ish have caravanned all the way down the state highways from sunny Hawke's Bay for their first gig in the windy city to bring you traditional acoustic music from the other side of the world, and new tunes inspired by it.

The W.S.S.S are New Zealand's Most 'Sea Worthy' Shanty Group and will open the evening with heartwarming sailing and whaling songs from home and abroad.

Join us for evocative sounds and relentless rhythms as we travel through dusty marketplaces, crowded taverns, fire-lit camps and rambunctious port-side pubs.
