Kapiti Cycling Club Hill Climb Championship (and Open)

The finale series of the racing season - KCC will hold its Club Championships for time trial (TT), hill climb (HTT) and road race (RR) on Sunday 9th, 16th and 23rd May respectively. The HTT will be held on the infamous Akatarawa Hill, starting at Elizabeth St in Waikanae. Infamous, because the route includes the 6km, 5.9% "Aka TT" climb, but first you have to get there! In total, its 12.3km with an average grade of 3.5% (but knowing that the last 6km is at close to 6%, pacing is the name of the game! Can anyone challenge Anthony Nalder's KOM (26 minutes 42 seconds)? Can you set a new PB?

The championship HTT trophies will be awarded to the fastest time set by current members in the Junior, Female and Male categories. All riders (including non-members) are welcome to participate in the championship events, however, only members are eligible to be awarded trophies.

The HTT course is the same for Juniors, Females and Males.

To assist with the draw preparation, please pre-register to Club secretary Glynis TMK on secretary@kapiticyclingclub.co.nz indicating which category you wish to participate in.

Registration on the day from 12 noon Elizabeth St, Waikanae. First rider will be away at 1 pm.
