Workshop Overview: a fast-track opportunity for children to learn about woodwork, tools, techniques, and safety as they complete a simple project in a fun, hands-on workshop in the inspiring environment of Artspace Gallery in Petone.
- All tools, materials, and safety gear provided,
- Children get to keep their wooden creations,
- Suitable for boys & girls age 4-12,
- Parents are welcome to stay.
Duration: approx. 1.5h
Class Size: up to 4 children only
Project: a Set of Wooden Blocks
Skills To Learn: measuring, drawing, clamping, sawing, and sanding.
Tools Used: carpenter's pencil, quick square, screw clamps, pull saw, sanding blocks, and various grits of sanding paper.
Attendance: Please arrive 15 min before the session starts to ensure children receive the necessary instructions and briefing from the Instructor.
Safety: Closed-toe shoes must be worn at all times during woodworking classes. Due to Health & Safety regulations, children not wearing closed-toe shoes will not be permitted to take part in a woodworking class.
