Kite Day

Pack your picnic, grab a kite and come fly with us at New Brighton beach! This popular family event is back for 2021, with another collection of beautiful, oversized kites!

We have your day out at the beach sorted, with something there for everyone – sandcastle building, beach sports with Sport Canterbury and ice cream! Weis ice-cream will be there handing out incredible ice cream flavours to keep you cool and happy.

So come and join us - enjoy the sea breeze, the sun and the spectacular view of the sky lit up with colourful kites. Don’t forget to slip, slop, slap and wrap!
