This class aims to teach the fundamentals of landscape painting. Students will learn some basic techniques, such as layering the view and adding brightness and contrast to provide depth. This is a class for beginners. We'll learn a bit about perspective, both linear and tonal, and how to mix colours from the three primaries. It's easy to get disheartened, especially when you're starting out at something, so this super-condensed session aims to keep things as simple as possible.

We'll jump straight in with a painting of the mountain; Starting by blocking out basic tones and shapes and then gradually building up the detail and adding depth. Finally, we'll add some foreground features to add interest.

There are no specific equipment requirements for the course, just bring yourself. We do suggest old clothes as painting can be a messy business. Feel free to bring a notepad and pen in case you want to take notes, but we'll provide all the equipment that you need for the course: Brushes, Canvas board, A rag for those little mishaps, Turpentine

Payment is required before the class starts. and can be:

- On the day the price will be $35.00 - and places will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis
- By bank transfer - account details will be included in the email you receive upon booking.
