Latin American Dance

Come and learn the basics of Tango, Salsa, Bachata and more in this two half-day intensive course. Move and groove in Latin American style!

Join Alex White from "Viva Latina" dance school and learn to move like you’re Latin. We’ll be focusing on Salsa and Tango, but you’ll also try the basics of other common Latin dance styles: Merengue, Bachata, Kizomba and Zouk.

Couples are welcome but partners are not essential (please note however that we cannot guarantee equal numbers of men and women).

Wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for dancing and a bottle of water.

By the end of the course, you'll be able to:
- Demonstrate basic steps.
- Confidently lead or follow basic turn patterns and key fundamentals in Salsa and Tango.
- Identify and practise the basic movement characteristics of Zouk, Bachata, Kizomba and Merengue.
- Recognise different styles and tempos of Latin dance music.

Note: Courses need a minimum number to go ahead so if we don't have enough enrolments a few days before the start date, we have to cancel. We'll let you know by email so please check yours regularly.
