Lindy Hop & Collegiate Shag Workshops

Whether you're new to these styles or just want to brush up your moves, these fun-filled, inclusive classes are for you! We'll also be covering different items from our workshop on the 3rd. We will be covering two super cool partner dances. Lindy Hop, which was at its first peak in the 30s & 40s, and also Collegiate Shag, which became popular around the same time (these both started in the 1920s). Check the discussion for some video clips :) These dances are again popular in many places around the world.

We'll be in "The Dunes" Room at Papamoa Sport & Rec. Please wear comfy clothing and shoes (no stilettos or shoes that will damage a wooden floor). You may also wish to bring a change of shirt and don't forget your water bottle. Lindy Hop will start at 1 pm and Collegiate Shag will run from 2:45 pm. We'll let the music play for an additional 30 minutes afterwards so you can get your groove on or just chill out <3
