Concert and Art Exhibition commemorating 200th anniversary of arrival of Russian sailing ships to New Zealand.

It was the visit by an expedition led by Russian naval officer Fabian von Bellingshausen in May 1820.
The second Russian expedition to circumnavigate the globe saw two ships of the Russian Navy, the Vostok and the Mirnyy, follow Captain James Cook's charts around New Zealand, including a week-long stop in Queen Charlotte Sound's Ship Cove.
