About the Music:
Maggie Cocco’s Science for Sociopaths is brave, vulnerable, and fierce.
Her neo-mellow songs stem from the lineage of America’s rich singer-songwriter culture while her dynamic vocals range in expression from powerhouse to Disney princess. Intimate solo piano arrangements allow the songwriting to take centre stage. In performance, Maggie holds a room with a combination of sincere vulnerability and mesmerizing musicality.
About the Art:
Sally Gill creates multilayered works using specially altered acrylic paints.
Inspired by natural landscapes and colours, Sally has worked to develop her materials and techniques over time to create the images she wants. She enjoys exploring neutral colours with contrasting bright hues. She plays with a mixture of ‘seeing what emerges’ from the paint and working to bring a work to where she wants it. While Sally begins with an idea, each work becomes its own unique creation. She names each work but you may see in them something else... landscapes, water, galaxies, creatures in the dark.
About the Venue:
beautiful things is a new exhibition space for artists, illustrators, photographers, all kinds of beautiful creative people showing and selling their creativity. Persons with concerns about accessibility can direct their questions to admin@maggiecoccomusic.com.
