Come and learn about Maramataka Maaori in Kirikiriroa with Wiremu Puke, Piripi Lambert, Te Moiora Rurehe & Te Rua Wallace.

Learn about how the stars and moon phases relate. And about the maramataka tohu for Kirikiriroa, including the flowering of the koowhai.

The kaiako for this waananga have a diverse range of expertise and knowledge. Wiremu is a Ngaati Wairere historian and carver and was instrumental in the establishment of Te Parapara garden. Piripi Lambert is a Maaori Astronomer, Maramataka Practioner and kaiako at Te Whare Waananga o Awanuiaarangi. Te Moiora and Te Rua are Maaramataka Practitioners and part of Te Puna Kai o Waikato - a network of local kai projects and initiatives coordinated by Go Eco.
